The Chinese Communist Party is waging one of the most aggressive campaigns against religious freedom in the world today. Through surveillance, imprisonment, intimidation, and systemic persecution, the CCP spends billions of dollars annually to control and, in many cases, eradicate people of faith. Christians, Uyghur Muslims, Tibetan Buddhists, Falun Gong practitioners, and other religious communities are viewed by the regime as threats to its power and ideological control.
To address this growing humanitarian crisis, the Hudson Institute hosted “China’s Persecution: Assault on All Faiths,” a powerful event featuring survivors of the CCP’s religious oppression. The discussion also highlighted stories from Sam Brownback’s new book, China’s War on Faith.
